Leadership Development for STEMM Professionals

An intensive 2-day in person program for current and aspiring leaders in STEMM.

Many STEMM professionals are promoted into leadership roles because they are intelligent, hardworking experts successful at solving technical problems. However, effective leadership requires much more.

Practical and immediately useful, the Leadership Development for STEMM Professionals program supports new awareness, perceptions, and practices that increase constructive leadership behaviours and positive impact on others.

Program Outcomes

Because development is a highly personal process, we will work with you, not on you, as you dig into the specific challenges you’re facing, uncover your strengths, and see where you might be holding yourself back.

Immersed in robust learning experiences, you will emerge with fresh insights and ideas about how to hold and guide others, navigate complexities, manage polarities, and work amidst uncertainty and change. It’s personally transformational; designed to increase wisdom.

You will expand your capacity to:

• Navigate and overcome workplace frustrations
• Tackle the murky systemic problems that have no easy answers
• Get your hands dirty in the chaos of a connected world and the ordinariness of getting the everyday things done
• Shift focus from how to perform better within systems that prevent you from flourishing to shifting these systems
• Look at situations from the perspectives of others
• Surface assumptions to gain new awareness, perception, practices, relationships and directions.

Course Structure

The two-day program will be facilitated by Dr Desley Lodwick and Marion Lawie. We limit the number of participants enrolled in each program to allow for personalisation as learning emerges.
